World News and Views :: Projects M&G to Construct PET Plant in the U.S.12:44 PM MDT | August 20, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Mossi & Ghisolfi (M&G; Tortona, Italy) says it will build an 800,000-m.t./year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at an undisclosed U.S. location. M&G says it will announce the selected site in “a few weeks” pending finalization of certain agreements. About 650,000 m.t./year of the new plant’s capacity will be brought online in the first half of 2009, and the rest will start up “as required by the market,” M&G says.
