LyondellBasell gets permit for ethylene expansion at Corpus Christi

LyondellBasell Industries has received a key permit required in the company's ethylene expansion program, the company announced today. The investments are expected to provide an additional 1.85 billion lbs/year of ethylene capacity, for a total estimated capacity of 11.8 billion lbs/year in North America. LyondellBasell announced plans last year to add 800 million lbs/year of ethylene capacity at its Corpus Christi, TX, site. Construction at Corpus Christi is expected to begin during the second half of this year, with start-up scheduled for late 2015. ...
