LyondellBasell Negotiates Petchem JV in Tatarstan, Russia

LyondellBasell is in early discussions to form a petrochemical manufacturing joint venture in the Russian republic of Tatarstan, CW has learned. The talks form part of LyondellBasell’s plans to strengthen its presence in Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and are in addition to plans announced earlier for a $4-billion petchem complex in Kazakhstan.
