World News and Views :: Projects Lummus Bags Olefins Contracts in Taiwan1:06 PM MDT | August 20, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff CPC Corp. (Taipei) has selected ABB Lummus Global to provide technologies for a petrochemical complex at Lin Yuan, near Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Lummus will supply its ethylene; olefins conversion technology (OCT); and butadiene extraction processes for the complex, which is scheduled to begin production in 2013. The complex’s 600,000-m.t./year ethylene plant will use Lummus’s SRT VI cracking furnaces and recovery technology. The OCT plant will produce 432,000 m.t./year of propylene via metathesis.
