World News and Views :: Projects Linde Builds U.K. Gases Plant to Supply Corus …9:50 AM MST | January 22, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Belloni: Leadership in key market. Linde says it has signed a long-term contract to supply industrial gases to Corus (London), a major steel manufacturer owned by Tata Steel (Mumbai). Linde will build an air separation plant at Scunthorpe, U.K. costing €80 million ($118.3 million) under the terms of the deal. The plant will have capacity to produce 1,600 m.t./day of oxygen as well as smaller quantities of nitrogen, and it will be onstream in mid-2010.
