World News and Views :: Projects Lanxess Selects Indian Site for Ion Exchange Unit1:37 PM MDT | September 14, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Lanxess says it has selected the Jhagadia chemical park near Vadodara, India for a previously announced €30-million ($37 million) project to build an ion exchange resin plant (CW, May 30/June 6, p. 16). The plant will manufacture products for industrial water treatment and generation of ultra-pure water for the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries. Lanxess says it chose the Jhagadia site over alternative locations in China and Singapore because it already has the industrial infrastructure in place.
