World News and Views :: Projects Lanxess Awards Ion Exchange Resins Contract to Uhde12:24 PM MST | January 23, 2009 Uhde India says it has been awarded a contract by Lanxess India (Thane) to build a previously announced ion exchange resins complex at Jhagadia, India (CW, June 23, 2008, p. 18). Lanxess is investing €30 million ($39.8 million) to build the facility, which is due for completion within 16 months. Uhde India will be responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Output from the plant will be used to generate ultra-pure water for the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries and for the purification of industrial water...
