World News and Views :: Projects Lanxess Awards Contracts for Butyl Rubber Plant in Singapore12:22 AM MDT | June 22, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Lanxess says it has finalized contracts for its previously announced new butyl rubber plant at Jurong Island, Singapore. The 100,000-m.t./year butyl rubber plant, with an investment of about €400 million, is expected to begin production in the first quarter of 2013. The contract for engineering, procurement services and construction management was awarded to Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific, which has operations in Singapore. Lanxess has selected Sembcorp Industries (Singapore), and TP Utilities (Singapore), a subsidiary of Tuas Power (Singapore) for utility...
