World News and Views :: Projects Kuraray to Build Polyvinyl Alcohol Plant at La Porte, TX2:11 AM MDT | June 5, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Kuraray (Tokyo) announced today that its Kuraray America subsidiary will build a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) plant at La Porte, TX, confirming CW’s earlier report. The plant will be designed to produce 40,000 m.t./year in the first phase, which is expected onstream in September 2014. Kuraray, for this investment, has been granted the Texas Enterprise Fund by the State of Texas and the Harris County Tax Abatement by Harris County Commissioners Court.
