World News and Views :: Projects Kuraray Completes Construction of Acrylic Thermoplastic Elastomer Plant in Japan2:07 AM MST | November 14, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Kuraray says it has completed construction of the previously announced 5,000-m.t./year acrylic thermoplastic elastomer plant at the company’s Tainai, Niigata Prefecture, Japan site. The elastomer produced at the plant and sold under the brand name Kurarity, a block copolymer of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate, has been developed using Kuraray’s proprietary technology.
