Kuraray Completes Construction of Acrylic Thermoplastic Elastomer Plant in Japan

Kuraray says it has completed construction of the previously announced 5,000-m.t./year acrylic thermoplastic elastomer plant at the company’s Tainai, Niigata Prefecture, Japan site. The elastomer produced at the plant and sold under the brand name Kurarity, a block copolymer of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate, has been developed using Kuraray’s proprietary technology.
