Kuraray Buys Land in U.S.

Kuraray says its Kuraray America (Houston) subsidiary has purchased 81 acres of land at La Porte, TX. Kuraray tells CW that it has acquired the land to prepare for construction of a polyvinyl alcohol or a vinyl acetate plant at the site, although no definite decision has been made yet. The plant will be built in 2015 or 2016, a Kuraray spokesperson says. No further details were provided.
