Kuraray Boosts Vectran Fiber Production

Kuraray (Tokyo) says it has completed an expansion of its Vectran fiber manufacturing plant at Saijo City, Japan. Vectran fiber is a multifilament polyester-polyarylate yarn spun from liquid crystal polymer. Kuraray says its manufacturing facility at Fort Mill, SC has also undergone improvements in preparation for additional capacity to come online in May.
