(Tokyo) says its wholly owned oleochemicals subsidiary Pilipinas Kao Inc. (PKI; Jasaan, Philippines) will increase the production capacity for fatty alcohols at Jasaan by 1.4 times of the current capacity, to meet the growing demand in Asia. PKI will invest about ¥3 billion ($38 million) for expanding the capacity and construction of the expanded facility will be completed in August 2013, Kao says.
