World News and Views :: Projects Jotun Opens First Plant in India9:15 AM MDT | March 18, 2008 | Kate Phillips Jotun Group says it has opened its first paints and coatings manufacturing facility at Pune, India. The $25-million facility will have capacity of 50 million liters/year of wet paint and 10,000 m.t./year of powder coatings. The plant will employ a workforce of 250. Jotun first announced plans to invest NK120 million ($19 million) to build two new powder coating and paint facilities at Pune, India in 2006 (CW, July 5/12, 2006, p. 23).
