Japan's JSR Forms Venture to Build SSBR Plant in Thailand

JSR Corp. (Tokyo) and Bangkok Synthetics (BST) say they have agreed to form a 51-49 joint venture that will build a solution styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) plant at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The plant will have a capacity of 50,000 m.t.-100,000 m.t./year and is due to start operating in June 2013.
