World News and Views :: Projects Jacobs Awarded Contract for Honeywell-Sinochem JV5:41 AM MST | December 7, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Jacobs Engineering says it has been awarded a contract to provide engineering and procurement services for the previously announced 50-50 joint venture between Honeywell and Sinochem. The value of the contract was not disclosed. The jv, to be located at Taicang, China, will produce hydrofluorocarbon (HFC)-245fa, a non-ozone-depleting rigid foam blowing agent used in insulation for appliances, construction, transportation and other applications where maximum energy efficiency is required.
