Iran's ethylene pipeline to be completed by end of this year

Iran expects to commission the second and final leg of a 1,500-kilometer (km) ethylene pipeline, West Ethylene pipeline, in November this year. The pipeline connects Kavyan, an ethylene production complex at Assaluyeh, in the south of Iran, with several downstream plants along its route. Kavayan has two ethylene plants, each with capacity for 1 million m.t./year.   The first 1,000-km pipeline, from Assaluyeh to Kermānshāh, the site of a polyethylene (PE) plant, was commissioned last year.
