Iranian firms sign MOUs with Turkish and Korean firms for downstream projects

Iran’s private sector companies have signed agreements with Turkish and Korean firms to invest in Iran’s downstream petrochemical sector. Deputy Oil Minister with responsibility for petrochemicals, Abdolhosein Bayat announced the news at an international conference on investment opportunities in the downstream sector in Khozestan province. He said that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between an Iranian company and an undisclosed Turkish firm to build a polyvinyl chloride compounds unit with production capacity of 350,000 m.t./year.
