World News and Views :: Projects Iran commissions first ethylene pipeline; other two likely to be scrapped2:23 PM MST | November 28, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Iran has commissioned the first part of a 1,500-kilometer (km) ethylene pipeline stretching from Assaluyeh in the south of the country to KermÄnshÄh, 1,000 km away, CW has learned. KermÄnshÄh is the site of the fourth of six polyethylene (PE) plants on the pipeline, West Ethylene Pipeline. The remaining 500 km will connect the line with Miandoab, the last of the PE plants on that line. KermÄnshÄh has already begun receiving ethylene from the two Kavayan ethylene plants at Assaluyeh, each designed to produce 1 million m.t./year, sources tell CW. The...
