Ineos to build world scale alpha-olefins plant in the US, expand in Canada

Ineos Oligomers has announced plans to build a world scale linear alpha-olefins (LAO) plant on the Gulf Coast of the United States. The unit will have initial capacity for 350,000 m.t./year with an in built design to expand capacity by 50% to 500,000 m.t./year. “We have been working on this project for the past year and it is now ready to scale up for a new phase of activity,” says Bob Learman CEO of Ineos Oligomers.
