(Sipchem; Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia) to become a joint venture partner in Sipchem’s previously announced $8-billion petrochemical complex, featuring a world-scale olefins plant, at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, CW has learned. Ineos may replace Hanwha Chemical, which was negotiating to join the scheme until Hanwha chairman Kim Seung-youn was jailed for assault in Korea earlier this year.
