World News and Views :: Projects Ineos Plans Major Acrylo Expansion in Texas1:14 PM MDT | July 24, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Ineos Nitriles (League City, TX) says it plans to install a fourth reactor at its Green Lake, TX acrylonitrile plant, boosting the company’s total acrylonitrile capacity by 84,000 m.t./year, to 544,000 m.t./year. The capacity hike will make Ineos’ Green Lake facility the largest acrylonitrile plant in the world, the company says. The new line is due onstream in the third quarter of 2008. The investment “increases the efficiency of capital spend and fixed costs, and also leverages our industry scale,” says Rob Nevin, CEO of Ineos Nitriles...
