Ineos Phenol and Sinopec YPC break ground on $500-million phenol-acetone project

Ineos Phenol and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co. (YPC) have begun construction of a 650,000-m.t./year phenol-acetone facility at Nanjing, China, the companies announced on 23 September. They expect the facility, which will include a 550,000-m.t./year cumene plant, to be operational by the end of 2016.
