Ibn Rushd to Build Huge PP plant at Yanbu

Arabian Industrial Fibres Co. (Ibn Rushd, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia), an affiliate of Sabic, says it will build a 525,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) plant at Yanbu by 2012. The company has licensed LyondellBasell's Spheripol PP technology for the plant. It will be the largest single Spheripol plant ever licensed, LyondellBasell says. The project will diversify Ibn Rushd's manufacturing activities.
