World News and Views :: Projects Ibn Rushd to Build Huge PP plant at Yanbu4:04 PM MDT | August 7, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Arabian Industrial Fibres Co. (Ibn Rushd, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia), an affiliate of Sabic, says it will build a 525,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) plant at Yanbu by 2012. The company has licensed LyondellBasell's Spheripol PP technology for the plant. It will be the largest single Spheripol plant ever licensed, LyondellBasell says. The project will diversify Ibn Rushd's manufacturing activities. The company is a producer of aromatics, purified terephthalic acid, polyester textile chips, polyester textile fiber, bottle grade chips, and carpet staple...
