World News and Views :: Projects ISP Adds THF Capacity to Meet U.S. Demand10:24 AM MST | February 19, 2008 | Alex Scott International Specialty Products (ISP) has started building a 16,000-m.t./year plant at its Marl, Germany site to produce pharmaceutical-grade tetrahydrofuran (THF), the company told CW at the Informex fine and specialty chemicals expo, held recently in New Orleans. Production is due to start in the fourth quarter, the company says. The plant is “a significant investment for ISP,” says Gary E. Force, director/North America sales and global accounts at ISP’s industrial business. “It will enable us to expand sales in North America.”...
