IHI E&C awarded EP services contract for urea plant in North Dakota

IHI's wholly owned engineering and construction (E&C) subsidiary has been selected to provide detailed engineering and procurement services to Dakota Gasification Co., (DGC; Bismarck, ND) for a previously announced, new urea production unit at its Great Plains synfuels plant, near Beulah, ND. The award continues the subsidiary's work with DGC, following last October's completion of the front-end engineering design study.   The plant will produce 1,100 m.t./day of urea and is scheduled for completion in 2017.
