Huntsman Polyetheramine Plant Due Online in Third Quarter

Huntsman says it expects its previously announced 15,000-m.t./year polyetheramine plant at Jurong Island, Singapore to be operational by the third quarter. Capital costs for the project total approximately $40 million. The unit will expand the company’s global polyetheramine capacity by 25%, and the expansion is part of Huntsman Corp.’s effort to grow its “differentiated” businesses in Asia (CW, Sept. 21, 2005, p. 20).
