Huntsman MDI On Hold

Huntsman Corp. says it has suspended work on design and feasibility studies for a 400,000-m.t./year methylene di- para -phenylene isocyanate (MDI) project at Rozenburg, the Netherlands because of the downturn in global economic growth. “Existing production capacity is adequate to meet current demand for MDI-based polyurethanes,” Huntsman says.
