World News and Views :: Projects Huntsman MDI On Hold10:45 AM MST | February 23, 2009 Huntsman Corp. says it has suspended work on design and feasibility studies for a 400,000-m.t./year methylene di- para -phenylene isocyanate (MDI) project at Rozenburg, the Netherlands because of the downturn in global economic growth. “Existing production capacity is adequate to meet current demand for MDI-based polyurethanes,” Huntsman says. Work on the Rozenburg project has been suspended at a stage that will “allow quick and efficient re-engagement at a future date,” Huntsman says. “We believe it prudent to suspend the timetable...
