World News and Views :: Projects HuChems Builds MNB Plant in Korea1:04 PM MDT | August 20, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff HuChems Fine Chemicals Corp. (Seoul) says it will build a 150,000-m.t./year mononitrobenzene (MNB) plant at its Yeosu, Korea complex. It has awarded a technology package to Noram (Vancouver) for the unit. HuChems, Korea’s largest producer of nitric acid, will sell MNB to methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate producers for use in polyurethanes. MNB uses nitric acid and benzene as feedstocks.
