Hengli Petrochemical Opens PTA Plant in China

Invista Performance Technologies (IPT), the technology licensing business of Invista, says that Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian, China) has started up the first phase of its new purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in the Changxing Island Industrial Zone, at Dalian. The world-scale PTA plant utilizes Invista’s PTA process technology, provided to Hengli under a license agreement, Invista says.
