Haldor Topsoe awarded contract for fertilizer plant in Turkmenistan

Haldor Topsoe today announced that it has been selected, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI; Tokyo), to design the ammonia plant in the previously announced large-scale fertilizer manufacturing complex to be built at Garabogaz, Turkmenistan, for Turkmenhimiya, a state-owned chemical company in the country. The project partners are Mitsubishi Corp. (Tokyo) and Turkish construction firm Gap Insaat (Istanbul). The project was first announced on 19 August.
