(OOC; Muscat) says it has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract to GS Engineering and Construction (Seoul) to build a world-scale methanol complex at Salalah, Oman. The plant will be operated by Salalah Methanol Co., a wholly owned OOC unit. It will be designed to produce 3,000 m.t./day of methanol and start production in the first half of 2010.
