Florida company to build biomass-to-urea fertilizer plant

BioNitrogen Holdings (West Plam Beach, FL), a company that creates urea fertilizer from biomass, has reached an agreement to acquire land in Taylor County, FL for urea plant. The Taylor County Development Authority will also provide the company with a $5-million loan to be used for plant engineering and site development work. The company will invest $200 million for construction of the 200,000 m.t./year-plant. The company will use local solid waste biomass for its feedstock, and says the location has access to rail services, trucking and vehicular transportation...
