Evonik to expand capacity for precipitated silica

Evonik Industries says it plans to increase its production capacities for precipitated silica at the company’s Chester, PA, site by about 20,000 m.t./year. The facility, in which the company is investing an amount in the low double-digit euros range, is scheduled to become operational in 2014.
