Evonik starts work on amino acid project in Russia

Evonik Industries is progressing with the extension of its amino acids for animal feed business, says the company. The foundation stone for Evonik's L-lysine Biolys plant at Volgodonsk, Russia, was laid today in the presence of the governor of Russia's Rostov region, Evonik representatives, customers, and partners. The plant is being constructed by DonBioTech, a joint venture of Evonik and Varshavsky Group (Moscow). The new plant will become operational in early 2015 and have L-lysine capacity of about 100,000 m.t./year. Biolys is a highly efficient source...
