Evonik Begins Construction of Organic Specialty Surfactants Facility in China

Evonik Industries says it has today broken ground on a previously announced new organics production facility at Shanghai, China. It will supply innovative ingredients and specialty surfactants based on renewable raw materials for the personal care, household care and industrial specialties industries. The plant will involve an “upper two digit million euro” investment and is expected to become operational in 2013, the company says.
