World News and Views :: Projects EuroChem to Build Fertilizer Complex in Kazakhstan10:06 AM MST | February 23, 2009 EuroChem (Moscow) says it will build a phosphate mining and enrichment complex as well as fertilizer production facilities in Kazakhstan. The mining and enrichment complex will use phosphate deposits at Karatau, Kazakhstan. The fertilizer project will be based on a currently disused Sary-Tas manufacturing complex at Karatau, which EuroChem has acquired from the Kazakhstan government. The new plant will be designed to produce 1 million m.t./year of phosphate fertilizers; 800,000 m.t./year of nitrogen fertilizers; and 500,000 m.t./year of NPK fertilizers...
