Estonian oil shale firm builds sulfur recovery unit

Viru Keemia Grupp (VKG; Kokhtla-Järve, Estonia), the largest producer of shale oil and chemicals in Estonia, has awarded a contract to Jacobs Engineering to provide a license package and services for a sulfur recovery unit (SRU). The SRU is part of VKG’s investment to upgrade its shale oil refinery complex in Kothla-Järve.
