Engro Plans Big Urea Complex in Pakistan

Engro Chemical Pakistan (Karachi) says it plans to build a $1-billion complex to produce 1.3 million m.t./year of urea in the northern Sindh province of Pakistan. Engro is arranging a €120-million ($159.6 million) loan from a consortium of banks led by the National Bank of Pakistan and the Habib Bank, to partly finance the scheme.
