Emery Oleochemicals to build biobased polyols plant at Cincinnati

Emery Oleochemicals (Shah Alam, Malaysia) has announced a $50-million investment at its Cincinnati, OH, manufacturing site. The company will build a plant to produce high-performance biobased polyols for industries, including automotive, furniture, and electrical appliances. The plant is due to be onstream in the fourth quarter of 2014. Emery Oleochemicals says it is the world's leading producer of chemicals made from natural-based products, which it supplies to industries including home and personal care, polymers, and agriculture.
