DuPont Selects South Carolina for Kevlar Expansion

DuPont has selected Cooper River, SC for its previously announced $500-million project to boost capacity by more than 25% for Kevlar para-aramid fiber. The investment will include the construction of a new Kevlar facility. Construction will begin in January 2008, with startup scheduled for 2010, DuPont says.
