World News and Views :: Projects DuPont, Genencor Form JV to Produce Cellulosic Ethanol2:06 PM MDT | May 20, 2008 | Kara Sissell DuPont and Danisco’s Genencor unit have formed a 50-50 joint venture to commercialize low-cost technology for cellulosic ethanol production. The companies say the venture, called DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol, will initially invest $140 million over three years. A pilot plant will be built at an as yet unspecified U.S. location for start up in 2009, with the technology ready for commercial applications by 2012, the companies say.
