DuPont Expands Ethylene Copolymer Capacity

DuPont says it will invest approximately $150 million to increase ethylene copolymer capacity by a total of 200 million lbs at its manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. to meet the growing demand in the automotive, packaging, and solar energy markets. The investment includes: an expansion of DuPont’s Dordrecht, the Netherlands facility, which is due online in 2009; enhanced capabilities and upgrades at the company’s Orange, TX facility, due online in 2008-09; and improvements in production efficiency at DuPont’s Victoria, TX...
