Dow to Close HEC Plant in Brazil by First Quarter

Dow Wolff Cellulosics says it will close a 5,000-m.t./year hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) plant at Aratu, Brazil during first-quarter 2008, due to capacity limitations, high costs, and aging technology.
