Dow and Davy Technology Chosen by Chinese Firm

Dow Technology Licensing, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical, and Davy Process Technology (London) say their LP Oxo Technology has been selected by Lihuayi Group, a diversified Chinese enterprise, for a 250,000-m.t./year oxo-alcohols plant at Dongying, China. The plant will produce: 140,000 m.t./year of 2-ethyl hexanol (2EH); 85,000 m.t./year of n-butanol; and 24,400 m.t./year of isobutanol. It is expected to be onstream in 2010.
