World News and Views :: Projects Dow and Aksa Establish JV for Carbon Fiber and Derivatives1:34 PM MDT | July 2, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Dow Chemical says it has established the previously announced joint venture with acrylic fiber company Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii (Istanbul), to manufacture and commercialize carbon fiber and derivatives. Plans for the jv were first announced in June 2011, and the two companies signed a definitive agreement in December 2011. The 50-50 jv is called DowAksa Advanced Composites Holdings.
