Dow, Mitsui start up chlor-alkali jv plant

Dow Chemical announced today that its joint venture chlor-alkali facility with Mitsui & Co. has started full-scale commercial production at Freeport, TX. The facility has capacity for about 800,000 m.t./year of chlorine and will replace 800,000 m.t./year of older capacity at the site, the company says.
