Doubts Grow Over Three Ethylene JV’s in Qatar

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has shelved a $500-million expansion of the common seawater cooling system at the Ras Laffan, Qatar gas and petrochemical complex, according to a report in the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED). The expansion was to have supplied 1 million cu meters/hour of cooling water by 2010.
