World News and Views :: Projects Degussa Forms Polysilicon Deal12:03 PM MDT | July 26, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Degussa and Silicium de Provence (Silpro; Saint Aubain, France) say they have signed a letter of intent to cooperate in the production of high-purity polysilicon to supply the French photovoltaic market. Degussa says it will build a chlorosilanes plant at Saint Aubain, adjacent to Silpro’s planned polysilicon plant. Chlorosilanes are a raw material in polysilicon production.
