Deepak Fertilisers Scraps Plans for Ammonium Nitrate Plant in Australia

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals (Pune, India) has abandoned plans to build a $350-million technical ammonium nitrate (AN) plant in South Australia to supply explosives for the mining industry, citing BHP Billiton’s plans to delay the expansion of the Olympic Dam copper and uranium mine, as one of the reasons.
